Your journey begins early in the morning in Shkodra, one of Albania’s most historically and culturally rich cities. A scenic drive takes you towards Komani Lake, passing through picturesque villages and winding mountain roads. Along the way, you’ll witness traditional Albanian countryside life and have the chance to stop for a quick coffee break before reaching Komani.

Please be at the Bus Station at least 30 minutes before departure, around 06:30, to ensure smooth boarding and avoid delays.

Upon arrival at Komani Port, you’ll board a boat that will take you through the mesmerizing Komani Lake. The boat ride itself is often compared to fjord tours in Norway due to its narrow canyons, towering mountains, and untouched nature. As you glide across the emerald-green waters, you’ll pass by small islands, hidden coves, and traditional stone houses clinging to the cliffs.
After 1 hour and 15 mins on the boat, you’ll reach the highlight of the trip – Shala River. Known as the “Maldives of Albania” or the “Thailand of Europe,” this pristine river boasts some of the clearest and bluest waters you’ll ever see. Upon arrival, you’ll have plenty of free time to explore, swim, and take in the breathtaking views of this untouched paradise.
The return trip begins with departure from Shala River at 14:45. After enjoying the beautiful ride back across Komani Lake, you will arrive at Komani Port.
At 16:15, you will depart from Komani by comfortable minibus for Shkodra, completing your unforgettable day in Albania’s natural paradise.
